Description

The Brouwer M1811 grip module corrects the main ergonomic issues with the p320 platform – high bore axis, rounded slippery grip, short beavertail. The modern M1911 pistol is the standard for shooting performance, control, and ergonomics. The overall grip shape, feel, and design of the modern 1911 has not been replicated until now. With the design of the SIG P320 series, we were able to bring some of that performance and control to polymer pistols.

I opened the boxed and has impressed on how nice it looked and felt even without the all of the other parts on it. After further going over the frame I found a blemish on the face of the rail, which is pictured. Over I really like it and I’m sure it’s probably a one off problem.

Fit was good with the FCU, magwell is great, but this grip module made for way too short a trigger pull for me, Wilson Combat grip modules are too short as well, switched back to prior Large sized SIG grip after shooting some steel. So, not for me, but it did point well.

The 1911 grip angle feels much more comfortable to me than the stock frame. Looks and fitment are top notch. I just wish the checkering was a little more aggressive and that the front of the trigger guard was square.

    Overall, excellent frame.

For the amount of it would like that it came with a mag release

Love the grip module for the familiarity of design.

Would have liked an option to remove panels to swap in various grips but do realize doing that on polymer would have a lot of issues unless brouwer made their own panels as you need a new seating/securing that would have the grips become a failure point instead of the frame.

Definitely a welcomed upgrade to the p320. Fits carry length slides perfectly or x compact with a comp. Unfortunately it doesn’t use the sig grip weights. Overall weight is reduced.
Had some feeding issues during a USPSA match this past weekend which wasn’t a problem with the modified x full frame that this m1811 replaced.

The grip itself is a great design. I naturally pointed the original bubble grip on the M18 and the Wilson Combat grip high. Not much, but it bothered me. I always point my 1911 perfectly. So this grip does what I needed. It gives me that natural index and point I get on my 1911. I got the extended mag release, to which works for me great.
I did not get the grip texture upgrade, either of them. 2 types were available at the time I ordered. I’m not a fan of the lines per inch, the back doesn’t seem to grab my hand as well as the front does. And the non textured areas are kind of slick. If I could order again, I’d most likely get one of the texture upgrades.
These are just nitpicks that may be useful in a 2nd gen model. They don’t detract from my loving the grip. It’s not so slick it moves, and it definitely grips. I would just like more texturing personally. I would recommend it to anyone who shoots 1911s well. I wish this was out before I bought the Wilson Combat grip, would have saved me money.

I love 1911s,so this frame feels a little better in the hands than the wilson combat frame. The only downside is the grip. The front and back strap need deeper serrations and the sides just a little more grip with out adding extra cost.

Fitment is perfect, though I didn’t read the fine print and my compact 15 round mags don’t work with it, had to order 17 rounders. The grip feels fantastic in the hand it points very well, mold lines are visible but well relieved wish there was a compact grip option.

    Better than stock grip but…

It’s too slick and needs more traction.

I’m not a fan of the design trying to mimic the side grip panels of a 1911.

The bottom rear of the grip could use some help.

The mag well, grip angle, undercut, tang are all superior and make the 320 better.

The grip is going to appeal to 1911 fans. But some of us dont really like some aspects of 1911 design.

I have to give them huge credit for their customer service and support. Not many companies can even come close to the level of support that was provided.

Very comfortable, and gives a whole new feeling to the P320. Grippy, but not aggressive. If I had a complaint, it would be that the beavertail is too oversized; should be more like a X-frame in that regard. Also, for the price, I’d think it could come with an installed mag release.

I do look forward to getting a second module soon.

Only fault was the mag release but still 10/10 would recommend

Honestly love this grip mod. Ergos on it are fantastic. Maybe it’s the placebo effect but it really feels like it brings the bore axis down closer to your hands, compared to Sig’s and other third party grip mods, taming recoil and muzzle flip.

My only real gripe is the thickness of the front of the trigger guard which disallows use of most of the standard light rail interface keys, particularly with the x300, requiring you to use a universal key which leads to sloppy lock up on the rail. Easy enough to take a few hundredths of an inch off with a dremel but I feel like this could be very easily rectified by Brouwer in the design without compromising the integrity of the trigger guard.

Adding channels to add Tungsten weights similar to the Wilson Combat grip mod would be appreciated too. Maybe on the gen 2.

Great feeling grip! The trigger guard is too Beefy to work with most holsters, but with a little modification it works well.

Fantastic module that goes above and beyond in fixing ergonomic issues I have with the P320. Excellent quality and absolutely no issues from Brouwer, however it would be nice if they had an option to include a OEM mag catch. It should also be noted that the grip itself can get pretty slippery in cold or wet environments, so I would definitely recommend getting some grip tape to beef it up.

Unfortunately, as much as this is a significant improvement over the stock or even XFive module, it wasn’t enough to convince me to keep my P320. Hats off to Brouwer though, if you like your P320 and want to make it feel better to shoot, this is an excellent option.

The M1811 Grip Module is a solid and well crafted alternative for the stock Sig grip module. The 1911 style grip angle points very naturally and offers some decent checking front and back of the grip. The coyote coloring matches the M18 very well and I’m looking forward to shooting it more. I do have a couple things I would have liked to see, and hope may be integrated into a v2.

Firstly, as this could be a great replacement or the M18 and an option that could be marketed to military units, I wish the grip checkering and grip and the side panels was just slightly more aggressive to assist in gripping the gun with wet, dirty, or gloved hands. Next, I would like to see the ability to utilize the grip weights from either the TXG module or Wilson Combat modules to add some weight depending on end-user preference for weight and some degree of felt recoil mitigation, which was one of the main benefits of the TXG grip.

Overall, an amazing product, and a great upgrade for those looking to utlize a grip with the 1911 grip angle and integrated flared magwell. Looking forward to future iterations of this product as well as continuing to run this one hard.
